Refund And Returns Policy

This policy explains how refunds and returns work for our products. We sell natural olive wood, both as individual pieces for craftsmen and as large export containers. Because of the nature of these products, returns are not straightforward — but we still comply with EU consumer rules and basic fairness.

By purchasing from us, you accept the terms below.

What Can Be Returned?

Short answer: almost nothing, because of the nature of what we sell.

  • Wood pieces (blocks, slabs, turning blanks, carving stock, etc.) These are natural, unique, cut‑to‑order materials. Once shipped, they cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged in transit.
  • Large containers / bulk shipments These cannot be returned under any circumstances. The logistics cost alone makes this impossible.

If you are unsure about a product, contact us before buying — we’re happy to help you choose the right wood.

Damaged Goods (The Only Valid Return Scenario)

Wood is tough. It rarely arrives damaged. But if something does go wrong during shipping, we need to know immediately.

If your order arrives damaged:

  1. Contact us within 2 days of delivery.
  2. Send clear photographs of:
    • the outer packaging,
    • the shipping label,
    • the damaged wood,
    • and any visible impact or crushing.
  3. Do not discard the packaging until we confirm.

If the damage is confirmed, we will either:

  • replace the item (if possible), or
  • issue a refund for the damaged portion.

If you contact us after 2 days, we cannot process a claim — this is a shipping‑carrier requirement, not ours.

Natural Variations Are Not “Defects”

Olive wood is a natural material. Variations in:

  • grain
  • colour
  • knots
  • texture
  • density
  • pattern

…are normal and are not considered defects. We do not accept returns for “I don’t like the grain” or “this looks different from the photo.”

Every piece is unique — that’s the whole point.

Change of Mind (EU Rule Clarification)

EU law normally gives consumers a 14‑day right to return goods bought online.

However, this right does not apply to:

  • custom‑cut materials,
  • goods made to your specifications,
  • large freight shipments,
  • items that cannot be returned due to their nature,
  • perishable or variable natural materials.

Our products fall into these categories. Therefore, change‑of‑mind returns are not accepted.

Refunds (When Applicable)

If a refund is approved (usually only for confirmed shipping damage):

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
  • Processing time depends on your bank or payment provider.
  • Shipping costs are not refundable, unless the entire shipment was destroyed in transit.

Cancellations

  • Orders can be cancelled only before we begin preparing or cutting the wood.
  • Once preparation starts, cancellations are no longer possible.

Large container orders cannot be cancelled once booked with the freight carrier.
